This morning, before sitting down to write this article I decided to create a complete social media post using just my phone… about using just your phone.
The post included a short video and quite a large written description.
The video included music, text, and animations to make it a little more ‘appealing’.
I was going to say ‘exciting’ but that would be wrong, it’s not a superhero movie, appealing or interesting would be better words to describe it.
The message in the video and the description is to say that everything was done using just my phone.
And it was…

I shared it on Facebook as a Reel… using just my phone.
I want people to realise that the phone that fits into the palm of their hands and sits in their pocket or handbag when not being used, is in fact a complete BROADCASTING and PUBLISHING system.
I mean, seriously!!!
That is fecking mind-blowingly incredible stuff!
Scroll down to carry on reading…
The post I created using just my phone has the potential to be seen by thousands of people…
Possibly tens of thousands over the next couple of years if it gets picked up and shared by others – although I doubt it will, as I say, it’s not overly exciting… but it is possible!
Think about it for a minute… the phone that you carry around with you all day every day is a complete BROADCASTING and PUBLISHING system that can put you and your content out in front of thousands upon thousands of people…
That is fecking amazingly POWERFUL!
It’s actually… to quote Obi-Wan Kenobi from Star Wars… “More POWERFUL than you can possibly imagine!”
And because of this… there are people banking big bucks each and every month using nothing more than their phones.
Now… a quick disclaimer… I prefer to use a laptop most of the time, however, I am using my phone more and more these days, and I intend to use it more for these kinds of posts.
That same post has been added to TikTok and Instagram as well as Facebook.
It took about 6 seconds to record the video itself, the editing and the written part including formatting it for Facebook probably took an hour in total.
So, in around one hour I have one piece of content on three different platforms in front of potentially thousands of people…
That is a piece of content that could now send people to me and potentially bring them into my world… and my business.
I added a soft call to action at the bottom of the written description…
If you’d like to know how… reach out and let’s talk. I am just a chat box away.
The point of the soft call to action is to simply get people to reach out to me if they are interested in learning more.
Nothing more, nothing less.
I am not trying to pressure anyone into buying anything… they are in complete control of what they choose to do based on how they feel after seeing my post.
The point of this post is that I want people to understand that you can create all the content you need to attract clients and customers on a smartphone… if you so wish.
Yes, I personally recommend that you have a laptop and use that for certain tasks, but you should most definitely incorporate your smartphone into the content creation process because it allows you to create so much wonderful content that you would ordinarily not have been able to do just a few short years ago.
- Going for a walk along a beach…
- Taking the dog for a walk through the woods…
- Watching the game at a bar…
- Exploring a new city…
- Having coffee with friends…
- Taking a long journey on a train…
- Or sitting waiting for a meeting to start…
All are now excellent opportunities to create content that can do wonders for your business.
If you have an online business (or want to have an online business) and have a smartphone … USE IT!
Until next time.
Have a great day.
